About Nick Blackburn

Nick was in The Hatstands during the late eighties & early 90's then formed Stretch Armstrong UK with long time songwriting partner Grant Bright. The band split some years later & both Nick and Grant have continued to write what are chiefly acoustic/indie songs, strong on melody with Grant's idiosyncratic lyrics. Bass player Jonny still plays as does the drummer Barry. The band nearly re-formed last year for a string of dates...but it wasn't to be. In the meantime Nick has written a string of songs set to be recorded in the very near future with a smattering of acoustic dates planned.
