Band Membersum...well there's Nicko and then there's Joe.
Influences Trey Parker, Matt Stone, Stewart lee, Glenn Wool, Phil Nichol, Corky and the Juice pigs, The Doug Anthony Allstars, Jack Black (who Nicko has loved for a very long time) Tenacious D, Simon Munnery, foo fighters (well, not so much influenced by, more major fans of).

Nicko also loves to listen to the piano talents of the Whitlams, the geek talents of Tripod and the nimble fingers and fiery temper of Cameron Bruce (you know, the one who looks like Paul McCartney with Down Syndrome *eg*)

Joe loves to listen to AC/DC, Death Metal music and the tunes of Andy Williams...but only if they are played simultaneously.

   About Nicko and Joe

Get this video and more at MySpace.com

Nicko was born into the world of stand up comedy back in 1995 when she appeared on BBC 1's "The Stand up show" as part of the open mic comedy awards final. This was only her third attempt at stand up and looking back thinks it would have been better if she had actually decided stand up comedy was the career for her before embarking on something so public.

Nicko did stand up for 3 years before swapping it for a career in music, although throughout this time she continued to write for various magazines and publications such as Deadpan, Comedy Review and had a few short stories published in the book "Dates from Hell". She dipped her toe back into the comedy waters in 1999 when she became part of the experimental comedy/music machine "The Paul Ferguson Project" until they disbanded back in 2001. Since then she has roamed the world spreading her own brand of music and comedy as well as becoming a regular guest on Nicola Heywood Thomas BBC Radio talk show. "

Joe stumbled into the world of comedy by accident. A musician and sound engineer by trade he was was approached by Nicko at the start of 2001 to help record a CD and a great partnership was born.

Not only has his band Wilmer performed all over the UK, they have also had heir songs played on various television shows - including Jara and Nuts & Bolts. Joe was also was involved with the sound post production on the Robin of Sherwood DVD and has also appeared along side Michael Winner in the Esure Commercials (but he likes to keep that a secret).

Nicko and Joe fit in just as well in both comedy clubs and music venues - and with the growing population of their Internet followers - can be found bringing their own unique brand of hour long musical whimsy up and down the UK. The success of their show "Songs We Think We Know" at the 2004 Melbourne Comedy Festival, Nicko's 2005 Melbourne show "Appetite for Distraction" with fellow comedian Silky, their critically acclaimed show, "Nicko and Joe Sell out" which they performed at The Underbelly at the Edinburgh fringe in 2005, their sell out Christmas shows and popular disaster broadcast play "Death Plays Black" go to prove that this flexible comedy duo can turn their hand to anything.

None I daresay. I'm not so popular as that. I'm going to make my own awards. Maybe it's time to resurrect the awards we used to make when we did high school musicals. Best eyebrows. Most consistently late on stage, that sort of thing. You have an inadvertant mention in my show.
London Bombings. Texting friends all night, are you OK. Reply: Yes, I live in Wales. Think you're overreacting.

If you're interested, our new episode 'Douch is a Douche' is online now (and features Ewen Macintosh from The Office). It's our longest episode yet and so has been split into two files. Don't forget to watch the second half.

As well as that, check out the 'About Me' section on our profile. It now contains a Halloween Special plus a couple of videos we produced for Current TV.

Let us know what you think of the new material.
