Hi folks. The bombardment begins! We have five shows this month, the first of which is mighty exciting!
Supporting his new Asthmatic Kitty LP ’In The Vines’ Raymond Raposa stops by for one of only six UK shows. His wonderful songwriting is awash with trippy electronics and lazy country licks. Twisted country Grandaddy possibly? I dunno, bloody good though! Assisting on the album are a wealth of talented musicians including members of the wonderful Phosphorescent, Jana Hunter and Sufjan Stevens.
Supports are great too.
York ain't so far away! 10 minutes from the station.

Heyy cheers mate!! Yeah that was an awesome night : ) You guys were fuckin wicked as well! Would be sweet to sort out some more shows together like early next year or something, or whenever you're planning on touring for your new album. Made a nice change to play with a proper rock band with ACTUAL songs haha : )
Look how much fun this will be.......................
Shortly before they release their second record 'The Midnight Organ Flight', the wonderful Frightened Rabbit bless York with a one off Basement Bar show. Signed to Fat Cat, home to Sigur Ros, Mum and Animal Collective their this new album has been recorded by Peter Katis (Interpol, Mercury Rev) and may send them off to much dizzier heights. Fresh from three shows at SXSW.
Oxford Collapse are from New York, signed to Sub Pop and will be spending most of April supporting We Are Scientists on somewhat larger stages than The Basement! A surprise and a treat to have them in York. Kinda indie pop, kinda power pop, kinda poppy pop(?!) Oxford Collapse are a sun-drenched delight.
Missing Kids and Burial In The Sky (featuring Lou from Red Trees and Mike from The Static Waves) support.
Yo Nick we just finished recording our debut EP "Innocence To Ashes".
We'd really appreciate it if you could take a second and check out the tracks we posted "Brother's Keeper" and "Prolonging The Agony" and let us know what you think, thanks!
