A maverick electro-acoustic ‘player tunewriter’ who performs on violin, mandocello, steel-string guitar, lap dulcimer, 5-string banjo and wine glasses, whilst live-looping and bass-pedalling with his feet.
Nick Pynn has also performed as a multi-instrumentalist with many musicians and comedians over the years, including Steve Harley, Otis Lee Crenshaw (Rich Hall), B*witched, Boothby Graffoe, Jane Bom-Bane, Stomp and Arthur Brown. Last year Nick won the Latest Star of the Brighton Festival award and the Three Weeks Editor’s Award with Jane Bom-Bane for their Fringe venue in Brighton. In 2005, he won Edinburgh’s Spirit of the Fringe award for his solo show of original compositions, ‘Nick Pynn’s Box of Acoustic Delights’.
Nick's solo albums are now available from most record shops & online retailers, as well as digitally downloadable from iTunes, Rhapsody and Emusic.
