I am a musician and bandleader based in San Francisco, California. Currently I perform on guitar with my own jazz trio featuring musicians like vibraphonist Smith Dobson. I also play guitar in a R&B group, Ron Silva & The Monarchs. I was born in San Diego in 1971 and grew up on suburban Los Angeles. I started playing the guitar in 1984, moved to SF in 1989 and was playing in night clubs by the following year. I wrote songs with Bart Davenport as Arthur's Wheel ('89-'90) and later with him formed the Loved Ones ('90-'92). My first attempt at leading my own group, the Nick Rossi Bluetet ('93) was a bust, but I managed to have some local success backing Ron Silva with the Monarchs ('93-'96). After a "lost weekend" of 8 months in Hollywood, I returned to SF, took up the Hammond organ, and led the Nick Rossi Set for a decade ('97-'07). During that time I released 1 LP/CD and several singles/compilation appearances under my own name, as well as appearing on several sessions for other performers. The group performed throughout California and Europe.
thanks for the add. I´m very happy about that. I heard some of your songs and I must say that you play a great guitar with a good feeling of melody-lines. I like it
Best wishes from an Italian ( you too?) in Germany
