so i've got something we need to watch (fall asleep during) some time in the near future. assuming i can dig it out. but it needs to be done. also, we need to finish that other movie.
anyone else drunk texting/dialing me at 4:30 in the morning would make me really mad, but you just make me laugh. and then get offended by me laughing. i wasn't laughing at you, i was laughing because of you. there's a difference. get home safe so you can make me smile some more.
so now that you've somehow found a deeper meaning to my staff rec, i feel like i should have leah write up a new card for it (to keep all the handwriting the same, so my ocd doesn't go nuts every time i walk by), but i'm really lazy, so i won't. let's go to the bar this weekend, are you around?
no it doesn't satisfy me because if you're right in saying she negates her first statement "i gotta aks em" to say it's not worth it let's continue, the whole rest of the song is her having to aks em. so she does have to ask them. and then does. i assume the "i unno, let's go" part is like saying "i don't know what might happen, but whatever, let's fuckin do it" or like maybe doubting herself at first. hmmm
Thanks for coming out last night...I was pretty surprised to see you actually! I hope you enjoyed the prairie fire...that's what you get for liking a horrible Michael Jackson song like that
also what are your thoughts the beginning of Lip Gloss where she says "I gotta aks 'em, cause if i don't, i unno, let's go!" what the hell does that mean and why does she say it? is it ever followed up? normally i dont try to make sense of tehse things, but i dont understand why she would start a song with a particular set of words like that, saying she has to ask someone something because if not, well, she doesn't know. does this relate to lip gloss?
i finally saw Trapped Part 2. I tried to finally realize my dream of having a wild Trapped In The Closet party, invited about 40 people, and about 4 showed up at different intervals. Luckily i have 4 roommates and 2 friends who love it, so that was enough for some fun.
I have to say, I think that R's awareness of himself to an even greater degree following the "success" of the first one, combined with the fact that this installment was much more clearly written for the screen rather than it being a companion music video for a song, both contributed it to being consciously "funny", and less easy to make fun of from the perspective that he has no idea what's going on.
maybe the first part wasn't just a music video companion to the song, i mean clearly the whole thing is meant to be a long video, and it was released that way as well, but this part 2 was different somehow.
also, it made even less sense than the first one, and i'm kind of pissed this wasn't the end of it. Nothing in this one gets resolved at all, and it's even more crazy than the first. Which probably makes it even worse, but for more and different reasons. Worse in a bad way, as opposed to the first one being worse in a good way, that is, if you're the kind of irony-seeking comedy fan that would see it that way.
that's not to say that this part wasn't fantabulously amazing, because it was.
by the way, you got your copy back, right? i left it at the store for you.
well she'll ransack pakistan and run a scam in scandinavia, then she'll stick 'em up down under and go pick-pocket perth, she put the miss in misdemeanor when she stole the beans from lima, tell me where in the world is carmen san diego?
yeah, when they played at toad's a little while back, they stayed at jesse's apartment at school. it was pretty funny.
i took it down because jesse and i saw bright eyes the other night, and ben gibbard was a surprise special guest, and i had a total fangirl moment when he walked out and since then i've been in a death cab mood. lol. it'll probably go back up at some point.
The highlight of my Saturday was pretty much the part when you stood up during Apples to Apples and yelled at Mildred, with all the righteousness of the drunk, "Pablo Picasso! Never got called!!! An asshole!!! Not like you!!!! LIKE AT YOUR PLACE OF BUSINESS FROM FEBRUARY 1-4!!!!"
