An electric guitar, a steel string acoustic guitar, a classical guitar, a bass guitar, a balalaika, a few synthesisers, an array of sound modifying devices, my overflowing toybox, rooms, public spaces, a Tascam reel to reel tape machine, microphones and transducers of various designs, a Commodore Amiga 1200, two Apple Macs and my entire body

I'm a freelance producer/engineer and songwriter living in London. I was born in Linlithgow, raised in Bradford, lived in Edinburgh for a bit, and have blood from Poland and Yorkshire. I'm quite tall.
The songs on this page are my own compositions. I've been writing for about ten years now, and my work spans retro electronica through dance and experimental pop to one-man-and-a-guitar acoustic songwriting. I'm a seasoned singer and guitarist, having performed regularly as a solo artist, fronting a four-piece band and as a lead guitarist for several bands.
My work as a producer / engineer includes modern and 'vintage' rock bands, traditional Iraqi music, swashbuckling modern folk, singer-songwriters and a delightfully politically incorrect country band. At the moment I'm mainly working at Fortress Studios, and at home. Below is a condensed discography of my productions for other artists and links to their websites.
I've also worked as a guest lecturer in sound recording and installation techniques at Edinburgh College of Art, and as a sound designer and acoustic consultant for the following fine artists.
A
4 track EP, titled Call Signs, it provides the perfect introduction to
the band prior to the release of their debut album, Grappling Hooks, in
early 2010.
North Atlantic Oscillation's "Hollywood Has Ended", from the forthcoming album Grappling Hooks, is featured in this month's Police Box compilation from TenTracks. It's here:
In case you haven't heard, TenTracks is a new music delivery service where you can buy exclusive 10-track compilations for £1, i.e. a mere 10p per track.
This month NAO are in the illustrious company of the excellent Found, Orkestra Del Sol, Fence Collective luminaries James Yorkston and King Creosote and exactly 5 others. Once again, that's £1 for ALL TEN TRACKS. Not bad, really.
Also I run The Great Edinburgh Run to help send Finola Forman to college as the government in Scotland unlike the rest of the UK wont help disabled people with complex when they want to go into further education, check out her site at

Hello! :) Cool stuff. :) Thank you for the friendly request and many thanks for your kind word! As for editors, here is a list of them: http://republika. pl/mister_beep/soft. html You can download them from here http://www. worldofspectrum. org/utils/index. html but please note that 1-bit editors for Spectrum are (sadly) very user-UN-friendly, heh. Greetings!!! _______________________ CHIPTUNES, CHIPTUNES!
Cheers! Glad you enjoy man. I know The Opal Sky guys and have heard some of your stuff before. Really enjoyed it. If you're ever bored and fancy doing a remix of any of the tunes we'd love to hear any ideas. Take it easy man, Rich JHF
Thanks for the comment. You know I just went out to buy a 1000 pack of plastic drinking cups. I placed them in a row right next to ech other and then lit them on fire. They quite rather nicely and it was a splendid display.
My mother always used to repremand me by saying "if you have nothing useful to say say nothing ay all". then she'd beat me mercilessly. However it never stopped me saying useless things. How the devil be thee squire? adios amigo.
