Recently read a fantastic biography of Alfred the Great. I was really sad to finish it.
Under the cloak of CatDesigners, I've released three solo albums. The first was Chemical Jazz, a mixture of full versus minimalist arrangements and beautiful versus dirty little rock songs. The second was Strange Little Creature, a selection of curios and ambiguous figures. The third (and current album) is Tomorrow Never Knows. Released in 2006 it's a 40th anniversary tribute to The Beatles' Revolver album - not an album of covers but a cover of an album.
Or you can buy the CDs from CD Baby (links below) or download them from iTunes or iSound (you can listen to all the tracks from the first two albums using the iSound player above if you like). CatDesigners soak up a lot of musical influences, add a splash of impressionsim, a twist of guitar artillery, a dash of drama, just a hint of small hours psychosis and pass it all through a psychological filter.
Although modesty and natural British reserve prevents me from blowing my own horn, I've had some great reviews for our albums:
Chemical Jazz is "one hell of a calling card" (George Zahora, Splendid E-zine) and "a defiantly square peg where the round hole pigeonholers are concerned" (Tim Peacock, Whisperin' & Hollerin')
In Strange Little Creature, "musical ideas just flow out left, right and centre ... a better follow-up album than it has any right to be (EDF, Phase 9) and "[it] throws attractive musical shapes however many times you place it under the microscope" (Tim Peacock, Whisperin' & Hollerin')
