A singer, songwriter and guitarist, Nicky has been turning heads of all ages during his quick rise to stardom. His self-titled debut album was released during the summer of 2008, just before Nicky wowed fans at the Michael Awards in New York City with a guitar solo that was well beyond his years.
But Nicky’s career began at the tender age of seven, when he received his first guitar as a gift from his parents. He learned to play by ear and was soon dubbed a “guitar prodigy” by John Robert Powers Talent School instructors. Inspired by listening to his father’s record collection, Nicky found an instant appreciation for legendary bands AC/DC, Led Zeppelin and Guns N’ Roses, and became a real student of rock and roll by reading books and articles about their talent and history. Knowing more about 70’s era rock bands than most adults, Nicky regularly takes music fans on a trip back to the past.
With encouragement from his family, Nicky competed in the 2005 International Presentation of Performers (IPOP) in New York City and won first place, making it clear that his future was in music. An engaging stage presence and his ability to sing, play and mesmerize the audience was apparent from the start.
A chance introduction a short time later to famed music producer Michael Binikos led to collaboration and Nicky’s first demo song, “What Were You Thinking,” written by Motley Crue guitarist Nikki Sixx. Nicky turned the song into his first music video, debuting it on YouTube – at the age of 13.
Nicky is now a rock star on the rise, winning hearts everywhere with his dreamy brown eyes and a smile that captures everyone’s attention. While still maintaining the life of a normal 14-year-old high school student, Nicky takes lessons with top music industry professionals, performs in a band and can be found surfing at Seal Beach, Calif.
Nicky is on fire, winning Battle of the Bands at The Block in Orange County, CA. In addition, Nicky has sold over 1500 cd’s and is currently working on two new tracks. Nicky is currently on tour with Tremaine Dance. Cities include San Francisco, Dallas, Chicago, Cleveland and LA.
Nicky’s promotional partners include RADD (Recording Artists against Drunk Driving,) Thrust Surf and Sports and CAAF (Children Affected by Aids Foundation.)
