For the discriminating fan of rockabilly, honky-tonk country, hillbilly swing, catchy melodies, and hot pickin', Nicky Kay and his FABULOUS Kay-Tones' "Go CRAZY Pop!" is a made-to-order slice of American roots-rock heaven. (ATOM Records)
For those needing a little post-punk pop punctuated with some truly disturbed theremin may we suggest "Into the Loud", the "solo rock" album? It features Jim Macpherson on bone-crushing drums and songs spanning 2-3 generations of Dayton rock. (ATOM Records)
What? More reverb? The Mulchmen are out there, surfing the static in between those two awful stations on the FM, just waiting for you ... (Big Beef Records)
As you probably know, we've been hiding lately. We are recording a new record however. As for plans to play out? Well . . . we talk about it and I'm sure we will. Probably out here in NYC before we go off to Canal Stree or Gilly's or something.
This Saturday, March 17th, is Saint Patrick's Day, but it is also the anniversary of the day I had my stroke, so it's a good time for reflection. In remembrance, I want to share my recently finished memoir about the day I had my stroke. Since you were involved in a benefit event to raise money for my medical debt from my stroke, I'd like you to truly understand what it was like for me.
I would love for you to read it and comment. I am writing a book about my entire experience including recovery and beyond. Your comments and feedback will be instrumental in helping me write my book. Here's the direct link: my memoir
If you don't get to this before Saturday, it's never too late to send a word of encouragement. Thanks for taking the time to read this and I'd love to hear from you!
Please take a look at the memoir I've worked on for a long time. It's my first hand account of the day I had my horrible stroke. I'd love to get some feedback on this true story that took a lot of guts to put down and present to the public.
Thanks so much for being a part of my benefit show! It really means a lot to me to be shown love and support by an old friend. Looking forward to having you as a part of this special event!
