Jack Wills Unsigned - Nicky Phillips @ the Kings Road store - Interview and Session
some not-so-interesting things to know about me
I'm Nicky - Hi :)
I love music, obviously.
I like my tea warm, my bacon in bread and cheese on everything.
I love wine and beer, but not the two combined - that's just asking for bad things to happen.
I laugh a lot. I hum a lot. I eat a lot.
I often walk into things - inc. walls, doors, hoovers and tables.
I seem to have a talent for forgetting names - please don't take it personally.
I love playing gigs and meeting new people - so pop along to one and come and say hi :D
I really appreciate any feedback so please feel free send me a message or comment and I will get back to you :)

Review of DVD Launch Night at Royal Park Cellars - 24th September 09
"Nicky Phillips, a folk siren who specialises in intensely personal, confessional songwriting, delivered a passionate set of soul-baring tunes propelled by her fierce rhythm guitar work and emotionally charged vocal."
By Brendan Campbell, on page 12 of November '09 edtion of Headingley Life.
Review of Royal Park Cellars - 14th May 09
"Nicky Phillips followed and proved yet again what an immense talent this young female has. More confident and assured with each gig, coupled with stronger guitar playing, her set never wavered and had the audience enthralled right up until the final note."
"... What followed was beyond expectations, as Londoner Nicky Phillips, now studying at Huddersfield University produced a breath-taking performance. Only 19 years of age but with a musical maturity far beyond those tender years, Nicky is sure to be destined for a long and successful musical career. Her set of original compositions allowed Nicky to showcase her full repertoire, and enable the audience to acknowledge being at the start of something very special."

Hey thanks and you were awesome too... Fair play to you as it takes a lot to get up and 'do it alone'!
Hopefully meet again and when we're in Leeds or maybe even London if you're ever back there, come catch us live again.... We'll obviously do the same if your near us or if were ever in a place whilst you're gigging.
