Nick Z is a soulful singer-songwriter, born and raised in the sunswept suburbs of San Diego. He was raised on the old-school vinyl sounds of Marvin, Al and the young Michael J. He learned the licks and started singing in the inspired fits of his college career.
Nick Z migrated north to the Bay Area, where he hooked up with his best friend since 10th grade, singer-songwriter Nick Marcotte. They have been writing songs together since 2002 and continue to do so. Nick Z performs at local OMC spots around the Bay Area.
