This guy is only at the demo stage with his recordings but the performance comes right out of the top drawer. Backed by strings and masked dancers, he dresses and moves like a champion figure skater - confident, showy, ridiculous and sensational. The audience lapped it up and a section of the crowd in front of me even knew and mimicked the choreographed dance routines. Musically, not unlike Erasure, I'd venture but the whole 'wow' factor really comes from the show, especially when Nicola kicks away from his keyboard to lead the dance and milk his adoring audience.
