..Nicole, I just wanted to wish u the best of luck with your organization UNIFEM. It is a wonderful blessing what u are doing for those women in need of protection. It is a shame that we would never let this happen to our mothers, sisters or daughters, but yet we are sitting here watching it happen to others. We are all of equal rights and no one should ever have to go through what these women are going through in Haiti. Where is the Justice? Haiti should stricktly enforce their laws and these men should be prosecuted! You are a strong, amazing women and I thank you for showing these women how to be strong and get through such a tragedy. I thank you for requesting me, It would be an honor to have a you as my top friend. May GOD BLESS you and everyone else offering a helping hand to those in need. I am soo touched that you are reaching to woman who have abused by men. Do help those in America? I am out of the violence now. I had to have major neck surgery done as a result of of my abuser. But now I am not allowed to attend field trips with my 9 year old son because I pled guilty to a class C felony assault that I am not guilty of due to no $. Not knowing the effect it would have on my life. I got the charge for protecting myself. There is a lot more to the story. And I willing to sHare all documents if you or one of your co-workers has time to review it. I just want to fight the school on this. I have gone support groups and I see a liscenced therapist weekly. I know I cannot fight this on my own. My therapist is going to do what she can but she has informed me it maybe not enough. I have also been sincerely interested in others like my self get through such violence. I cannot help with the womans center here because of my felony. It would mean the world to me and my family if someone could assist me. I am of very little money. I don't want money. now is passed months people already  forgot about Haiti  and  how they still live, and the most weak are women and children  , i think of them always .

..I am in total agreeance with what everyone has said.  The world is so much crueler than I ever imagined.  I will do what I can also!  Women and children should be treated with dignity and respect all around the world!!  I commend you for taking the time to help ease their suffering. :)..

these men in this country that do this to women and young girls need to be lined up and shot i have 4 daughters and id hurt someone that did that to 1 of my daughters.
