Go to www.cdbaby.com! I just recorded my first full length cd which is NOW finally available on CD BABY! Yay!!!! I recently returned from Thailand where I was studying earthen building and organic farming. I am happy to be back and singing around town. I consider myself to be a singer/songwriter with a lot of guts, sweetness and love. My music is folky pop with hints of jazz, rock, soul, blues and whatever else I decide to try. My identity is on the forefront of my music, intertwined with my truths, ideals and experiences. I believe in the power of art to change this world. My performances are soulful, honest and animated. I have shared the stage with with Styx, Toshi Reagon, Alix Olson, Kinnie Starr, Raul Midon, Solas and Michael Glabicki (Rusted Root). I won the 2002 Willamette Valley Folk Festival New Song Contest, played at Musicfest NW and performed in Seattle at the Rockrgrl Conference and Folklife Festival. If you like campy films about musicians, I also starred in an indie feature film released nationwide called Down and Out With the Dolls(www.dolls-themovie.com) which is pretty damn hilarious! Rent it!
It also important for me to say that I am a luk kreung farang (half Thai/white) woman of color and feminist :) who seeks to create social change through empowering the silenced and celebrating the forgotten and ugly. I am always looking to collaborate with others who share in my ideals. Peace.
