i have been told by some that i sound like certain people who i don't really want to sound like, so i won't mention who they are. other than that i don't really know who i sound like, hopefully no one much. but then, it's not a very unique sound either so i probably sound like lots of people. oh well, what can you do eh..?
Nicole Walkinshaw has grown up as a singer in a variety of soul, gospel and jazz groups. Writing songs to be performed solely is a new direction for her - one where she has taken her experience into creating something close and poetic. Her soulful voice is accompanied by guitar pickings related to folk music. The melodies interpret experience and relate listeners to their themes.
Nicole performs regularly on the Central Coast NSW in cafes, restaurants and music venues. This year, three of her songs were featured on a recording by ‘The Stained Glass Collective’ who distribute their CD in aid of third world communities.
