BACK WHERE WE END évoque un cauchemar : celui d'un monde d'où les hommes ont disparu. Construit comme un aller-retour entre Coney Island et Times Square, le film voyage à travers des paysages désertés où subsiste à peine le souvenir des hommes.
Nico Mangifesta, Nico Mangifesta, Italian musician from Abruzzo Region born in 1978, lives in Rome. He plays different instruments in various musical styles.
Aesthetically, he can be situate between the contemporary musical experiences and the noise, between an old avant-garde approach and the DIY attitude. His aesthetic research investigates the material nature of the sound understood as a physical/artistic phenomenon immersed in a time and a cognitive space. His experience is widely opened to any conjunctions with other type of artistic performances.
Nico Mangifesta is dedicated to the improvised music and makes use of analogical techniques inspired by the concrete music (use of record player, radio frequencies, tape loop, voices, prepared guitars…). He is dedicated to the timbre possibilities of the guitar and the electronic music.
He is involved since 2007, in the TEMPIA network, created in order to promote the interdisciplinary independent creation. In charge of the production, he invites the public to discover an extract of the diversity regarding contemporary artistic expressions during events organized in different partners place. In 2008, he successively created l’Apéro des Bruits, itinerant periodical confluence of music and experimental performances ; (con)Temporanea, a graphic zine ; Stolen Sex Records, a label of sound documentation ; Tempia Impro Unit, selection of musicians dedicated to the improvisation and constituted in collaboration with Marco Carcasi.
