As at the time arround 1995 the young Niels von Ahorn discovered the first steps of music producing software with the computer, no one could ever imagine that this would change his life completely. What just had begun with simple 4 channel tracking programs will find their way for the next years, Niels found out in run of the time.
In the beginning of making music it all was just an experiment. Finding out what knob does what sound and so on ... but the most important developement was not the technical but the mental one. Music was not just music ..music becomes art and that was the point where Niels found out that it would guide him and making his way till the undefined future.
After a short period of time the musical experiments advanced to full tracks. The style was just electronic and not exactly to say due to his influence not only by partial electronic productions but also by friends and other musical genres. So it comes that he also did some piano arrangements, some orchestral productions with friends and also rock and punk songs.
But in time he developed more his own style, the electronic thing comes into the front so the main focus was the electronic thing. Thanks to the internet that Niels found a way to spread his productions. His synonym - trancesphere - developed in nearly one year a fame like status he earned for his outstanding and breath taking productions.
But times changed and Niels also had to focus on job and real life so his school time passed and the daily life did like a cut and his presence at the internet disappeared. So it comes that Niels focused some new projects musicially in his speartime. He produced some tunes for a radio station in belgium, did some productions for marketing and business purposes and main focused on the production with his friend Eric Lynch (REDroom Records) for which they both produced new artists.
The new friendship with Dan Reaves and AboutBlank brought Niels von Ahorn back to his trancy roots. The new productions of the whole crew (project called RECENTIMES) are expressing in that way Niels would like to fit his musical wishes and likes so the new tunes are one next step and also evidence for his wide spreading field of musical activities.
