NIGATAR/hood roc' : The Bio
Nigatar/hood roc is a two man HipHop Reggae Rock band, with a little R&b in it. The members are a pair of veteran rappers who go by
the names Mani and Tug McRaw. In the 90's, the two toured the east coast doing shows, winning rap battles and
making a name for themselves in the underground HipHop circuit. They were solo emcees at the time, but they still knew of each other. In the new millenium they decided to go live, and they took things a step further by learning how to play instruments for themselves, rather than just trying to be the rapper in some band. In 2004, Mani joined a rock band as a bass player doing several shows and getting better acquainted with the world of live music and instruments. Tug remained practising his guitar, meanwhile maintaining his reputation as one of the best rappers on the east coast via performances at HipHop arenas in New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania and Florida.
Finally in 2006, they got sick of it! Mani began to miss HipHop an his guitar, while Tug began to hunger for more than just HipHop and his guitar, so they joined forces becoming Nigatar. As Nigatar they do it all, and they mix it together, you've never heard so much music come out of two peolple. Tug McRaw plays the drums, guitar and raps, while Mani plays guitar, raps and sings. They are very easy to work with because they travel light, and they don't have a bassplayer, that way they are not to loud and the audience can enjoy the lyrics, which happens to be the best thing about their music. Their shows consist of whatever is appropriate for the venue and audience. Nigatar also covers other bands such as The Beatles, Bob Marley, Nirvana, and Jimi Hendrix. Nigatar can provide the atmosphere neccessary for people to enjoy themselves and have a memorable expirience.
