As of right now I'm not so much of a band per-se, but try to do what I can. I'm living in Maple Ridge, BC right now, and I grew up here, but I spent a few years rocking in Prince George, BC.
While I was in PG I was fortunate enough to play with two great bands, Lucas Blind, and Overflow. I recorded a Demo with each band, which was great experience. Overflow technically never ended, it was just put on hold for a while. Cal and Landon, the notorious Hilde Bros. rythm section, formed a band with Mike Rockstar and Nik Holm, Pox Eclipse, and I started to write my own material.
I have always wanted to do a solo project and so this year I decided to try it. It's a very different process. When writing theres no one to bounce ideas around with, and with the recording every detail is up to me. I have total control which is fun and exciting and yet lonley and scarey as well.
It has been slow going, as I'm not very diligent when it comes to making a schedule for recording, but I finally finished a rough mix of the songs. It's all sounding pretty good, but I have yet to finish the final vocal tracks. The problem I encountered with this project was the vocal aspect. I'm not so much of a singer, well at least I wasn't when I started, so I have been putting off the vocals for a while. I think my dog's actually a better singer than me and I was thinking about getting her to learn the words and lay down some tracks... It has been a great challenge to learn to use my voice properly and I think it's coming along.
Once recording is all done I'll be putting together promo packs to get my name out there a bit. I'll see how I do at the networking game. It might be tough to promote since I dont have a band and can't do live shows, well at least not untill my extra sets of arms finish growing... I'd like to thank the mad scientist for helping with that... but I should be able to market as a recording artist, and hopefully get some good connections in the biz.
We used to be called "Mumrik" that was looking for a singer and now we finally found a singer and the band name became STM since we are working together at a distance of 6000miles from Leeds, UK to Kyoto, Japan. We have uploaded 3 songs now. Check out how it works.

Hi there Nigel Briggs first of all we'd like to say thanks for being our myspace pal. We wanted to make sure you knew the reason incase we suddenly vanish off of your friends list. The movement we've started for indie artists has grown significantly and consumes all of our time these days. We seldom sign into our myspace account and this is making several people believe that we are ignoring them. We are not ignoring anyone, we wanted everyone to know that. What we're doing has become so busy we just don't have the time for myspace any longer, so in all honesty we are probably going to just close our myspace account.
Many people wanted to use us in the future so if you were one of those people make sure you bookmark the link below so that in the event that we do close our myspace account you won't loose contact with us. I wish you the best of luck in your music career. Thanks again for being our myspace pal.
