Books
Any medievel who done its like the Cadfael series by Ellis Peters, but also P.D.James... Currently enjoying the historical romances of Conan Doyle which features one Sir Nigel!
I started playing the piano when I was eight years old and I'm still trying! My first band was in school playing progressive rock/heavy metal and my favourite part of the keyboard is still the volume control! I've played in various bands over the years but principally as a duo with my wife Rowena! Musical influences range from Yes to Gordon Lightfoot and of course Rick Wakeman.
I've had an enjoyable and fulfilling few years promoting concerts in my local town (city!) of Wells in Somerset and have met some amazing people on the way. Hopefully I will be able to start that again when finances and time permits!
Currently Row and I are working with two excellent local musicians, Chris Betts and Graham Russell. We really feel this is the start of something very exciting. We'll keep you posted!
Who I'd like to meet: Other musicians, old and new friends.
the cartoon one? I need to change my pictures, on another forum my sig picture is the cartoon park one and I am so bored of it. I've been too busy though, I'm re-arranging all the kids bedrooms etc, I am running out of places to hide all my junk!
Yes, the marathon went really well, thanks for asking Nigel. It was a hot day, in fact the hottest London
marathon ever, so most people were running slow, which meant we were running for about 4:40, because it's hard to get past people and you have to go with the flow. But the crowd support was excellent. There were a lot of bands playing music along the way and some church bands were playing songs too.
There was a very realistic Elvis singer at one point, I enjoyed that, and a hot blues band, the music helps to spur you on. I met some great people as we all ran together, I got talking to one guy from New Jersey, he was doing his one hundred and first marathon. The last 6 miles hurt and they hurt little bit more with every successive mile, but I managed to keep going without stopping to walk which I was glad about. It's quite emotional too, the crowds really get behind the runners, and when you cross the finish line, it's easy to see how some runners collapse as emotional wrecks.
I'm using the beach one now but changed the outfit - I'm too shy to have 100's of people seeing in me in a bikini (even if it is only a cartoon version of me!)
Lol - it was the dusting one you were meant to get but then I thought I should change the background to get rid of that messy kitchen. That was the closest I could find to look like berrow beach.
You werent out walking a black and white dog yesterday lunchtime were you?
My new meez - what do you think?
