About me:


Carl Kolchak is my name, and it's a pleasure to meet you. Some call me a 'has-been big-city reporter', but I'm just a guy out to find the truth. With the Fourth Estate, I'm a journalist who works for the Independent News Service (INS) in Chicago. I feel it's the job of the press to find the truth and then tell the public about it. Trust me, that hadn't made me many friends before my first bizzare case, and that made me even fewer after. Here's how things got me where I am today...

I was once working for a newspaper in Las Vegas, under editor Tony Vincenzo. I was assigned to look into a series of violent night time murders of local women, and quickly came to the conclusion that, no matter how insane it seemed, the killer was a genuine vampire. Just my luck though, the local authorites refused to acknowledge this, and were desperate to sweep the story under the rug. Finally, I had no choice but to take matters into my own hands. I stalked the vampire, Janos Skorzeny, and for my life saving efforts, I was run out of town under threat of a murder charge if I tried to tell my side of the story.

I next went to Seattle, where I bummed around a bit, until I ran into my old boss Vincenzo. Thanks to my old boss feeling guilty for what happened to me back in Las Vegas, he hired me on at the newspaper he had back then. And wouldn't you know it, my first story was about the supernatural. This time it was an ancient alchemist killing women to steal their blood for a formula to keep him young. Things followed a familiar pattern - by being prepared to accept the facts for what they were, I was able to track down the truth behind the serial killer, while the police were hamstrung by the insistence of various elected officials that they treat the murderer as a regular lunatic, since to admit otherwise might be bad for business. I located the hideout of the alchemist, Richard Malcolm, and destroyed his serum, causing him to age to death. However, I was once again ran out of town by the authorites - only this time they kicked Vincenzo out, too

Both of us then went to INS out of it's Chicago office. Now that my eyes have been opened to the supernatural, time and again I am finding myself dealing with cases of it, facing werewolves on cruise ships, Native American spirits up skyscrapers, politicians in league with the devil, and even an immortal, youth stealing, Helen of Troy. However, I seem to win the day through persistence, wits and dumb luck.

And another bit of information about me, I have been married before, but I lost my wife, Louise, when she was shot in a convenience store holdup. It's a sore subject, so I avoid talking about it.

    Carl, wait!! Relax!!

    No, The Phantom has not been abducted by aliens.  Rather, I have re-metamorphosized into a person of note that you may remember from months past. And we do have lots in common, of course... you being an ace reporter for a major news service... I being a researcher and reporter-of-sorts for a digital publication. And we both investigate the weird-and-wonderful and the totally-strange-and-not-so-wonderful.

    Often, I travel the galaxy in pursuit of stories on board my cousin Zaphod's starship - The Heart Of Gold - or I simply hitchhike my way from star-to-star. You are most welcome to join me anytime... I know you would find it fascinating. I would enjoy your company... whenever I visit Earth, I always read your reports and keep up with your adventures. In fact, a female Earthling that I often spend time with during my visits has hinted that I may expect a surprise on this upcoming holiday many of you Earthers celebrate called Christmas... and that surprise apparently has something to do with you!! Hmmm... I'll keep you apprised.

    Sam smiled back. "Yes I have. I am a very lucky woman." she grinned. Sam nodded as Carl said welcome. Sam giggled more seeing Carl grin and hearing him chuckle. "Aww thank you ,baby. I bet it is harder than either of us expect." she smiled back.  "Ok I will." she grinned seeing the wink. She loved hearing him chuckle because it made her feel that everything was alright in their world.  Sam smiled more as she felt Carl smile into the kiss. Sam gazed back into Carl's eyes as she stroked his cheek.  Sam had nodded off and didn't hear Carl park the car and go for help.  Sam was startled when the nurse woke her up. "Carl?" she called out. Sam saw Carl with Francis and relaxed. By the time Carl wrapped up Francis the nurse had Sam in a wheelchair and inside the hospital.  Sam smiled happily seeing the reaction the nurses had with Carl and Francis.  Sam giggled. "Yes he is. He is our baby, Honey." she smiled tiredly

    *He listened to Carl closely then spoke with hiss*"sure I can do that for you Carl as gently as I can"*as he spoke he smirked evily then he seen the woods he was seeking then shifted his wings slightly which caused him to decend from the sky and to the floor of the woods then he let Carl gently as he could in a pile of leaves when he landed then folded his wings around then spoke darkly as he approached Carl*"was that gentle enough for you Carl?".

    Silver Moon was sleeping in her den when she heard a sound outside which caused her ears to perk up quickly and it caused her to wake up quickly and get up and she walked out of the den and sniffed the air then she caught the scent of a human and it made her growl angerly then stoped as she walked closer to Carl though he possibly couldn't see her cause of it being dark and all then spoke sharply to him with a few growls in her voice*"what are you doing in my forest human?your lucky my pack is hunting elsewhere or you wouldn't be living right now".

    Silver Moon was sleeping in a den she had made for herself deep in the woods and was deep in her den sleeping while thinking about possibly searching for the man she remeber that she had to turn to save his life but she didn't know where to go to look for him to see if he was handling the gift she had to give him so he could survive but she remeber what he looked like sents she had to bite his shoulder to turn him which left a symbol behind to remind him of what he now was but she thought she would search for him later possibly so she pushed the thought away and just slept while staying alert of her surroundings cause how hunters seem to come after her kind.

    Sam smiled. "I know you can. Yes you have I have witnessed it for myself."  she winked. "Thanks. Good."  she smiled back.  Sam was amazed at the glow on Carl's face as he looked at Francis. "Yes he is." she saw how he loved hearing her call him daddy. She nodded and smiled as he took the bag. She smiled at his reply and let him help her into the car. Sam giggled more seeing how big Carl's smile was. She looked back as Carl did. "Yes. I don't either I feel like a nap myself." she smiled more seeing the proud look. "You have that right. We are better than good we are amazing." she smiled into the kiss. Sam watched as he got in the drivers seat. She smiled as he looked at her. "Ok that sounds good. Thanks, baby" she stroked his cheek and lay back in the seat. Sam closed her eyes and smiled as she heard the top go up and felt the heat go on. She knew that Carl was going to be an amazing dad since he even thought about keeping him toasty warm. Sam started to doze as Carl drove to the hospital.

    -it stoped and turned and looked to there the light was coming from and split a ball of flame at it wanting it to go out because with a light as that it would draw to much attention to it then it vanished and even with its size it snuck up behind him and looked down him with abit of anger on its face- whats it matter human...most of you just want to kill me anyways
