Sounds Like
uniquely cool blend of lounge and trip hop, with glitchy beats, an elegant Jazz Vocal and a funk guitarist, a sound that is particularly capetonian. We have on occasion been compared to Sade, and Morcheeba, but why don't you see for yourself.
Lisa fronts the act, a talented and professional jazz vocalist, Lisa is a versatile singer capable of elegant pop or complex jazz, with inflections from Silje Nergaard to Skye Edwards (Morcheeba), she is a performer not to be missed.
Lisa performs regularly with Mamavox (an all female jazz vocal group), the 'Baobab Three', and her own jazz trio amongst various others. Lisa was also the 1st runner up in the recent SAMRO Jazz vocal competition.
James kibby - guitarist -
coming from a strong funk and blues backround, James is a veteran of the local music scene, and having played alongside some of SA's top artists is currently frontman for 'Acid Blues'as well as completing his recent and quite successful solo endeavour 'The James Kibby Projects' first album: Nowhere to Hide.
Paul van Zyl - Producer / electronics / percussion / DJ -
Forming the production backbone of the group, Paul brings years of experience in composition, synthesis and programming to the band, as well as a wide array of musical influences. Paul is also a recognised producer in his own right having several successful releases,both local and international, the latest of which is on Agave Records (Florida - USA)
