About me: Nightlights is three FREE light-based art and music celebrations alongside the canal in downtown Scottsdale, Ariz. on the third Thursdays of this autumn: Oct. 16, Nov. 20 and Dec. 18, 2008. All events take place from 7 p.m. to 11 p.m., as a part of Night Lights on the Canal, a series featuring temporary light-based artworks sponsored by the Scottsdale Public Art Program.

D.A. Therrien’s Beautiful Light
Phoenix artist D.A. Therrien's large-scale artwork suspends in a one-night-only performance 80 feet above the Arizona Canal at Scottsdale Waterfront. The art spectacle features an enormous 50-foot-wide digital display of quartz lamps, called the 4 Letter Word Machine. Set above a 60-foot-wide canvas of water, with Camelback Mountain and the night sky as backdrop, the rare performance of this major artwork is one not to miss.

Yo sista. I know I send a bunch of invites your way regarding DJ stuff, but I also wanted to let you know about this indie rock band I'm a part of, called Mondegreen. We're very much a 90's-style, driving indie rock group with layers of electronica & power-pop. Our songs are all original, but we take our cues from greats like Pavement, The Pixies, Dinosaur Jr., Granddaddy, Built to Spill, Bloc Party, The Smiths, Beck, & Broken Social Scene.
