About me: If you haven't heard of Nightly Business Report, where have you been? NBR is a business and financial news program distributed by PBS. It's hosted by Paul Kangas and Susie Gharib.
NBR went on the air in January of 1979. If you do the math, you'll realize that date makes us the first daily business news program on television. We started quite a trend.
Some of NBR's most well known features are our "Market Monitor" interviews and Paul Kangas' "Stocks in the News." NBR is produced by WPBT Channel 2 in Miami, Florida. We have bureaus in New York, Washington, D.C., and Chicago.
Don't forget to visit our website for the best in business and financial news -- including stock tips: www.pbs.org/nbr
Who I'd like to meet: We've met a lot of business news makers throught the years, and we plan to keep meeting them and asking them the questions our viewers want answers to. Did you know that former Fed chief Alan Greenspan was an NBR commentator long before he took the reins of the central bank?

sweet!! thanks for the add guys!! I love NBR and watch it just about everyday on my fabulous free DTV. Don't know what I'd do without PBS in general. NBR in particular is highly informative. I'm grateful for all the hard work put in to this show.
I'm so sorry to hear about Paul Kangas' retirement from NBR later this year. Now it's our turn to "wish him the best of good buys" when he steps down in a few months.
GE & Intel - the evil empires. They two don't need to partner, they should just go down to the ground! Since Immelt took over; he has just made the company look like a joke - look at NBC - they just keep cuttin' the costs and the network will be the first to die! Intel is a whole another problem. They take over the world with inferior chip quality and technology, that pushes the better (and more expensive ones) out of business! Let them hook up and see what results could happen...
