.. Nightmare Records was born of LANCE KING's efforts to get his First band GEMINI and their music out to the fans. By 1992 Nightmare had sold over 15,000 copies of Gemini's first two albums! .. This was Nightmare's humble beginnings.... .. .. Along with the 1995 the release of Lance's new band THE KINGS MACHINE's, Debut album "A State of Mind", Lance decided to contact local musician friends in the Minneapolis & Saint Paul metal scene to help them get their music "out there" and in doing so diversifying this little record company into more of a "Distribution center." This helped sales efforts for the label because there was more product for stores, and music distribution companies to get from Nightmare.... .. .. Shortly after in 1996 Lance set out to bring more releases to Nightmare in order to keep business solid year 'round.... even when the label wasn't pushing a new release. In 1997 this brought the birth of the Nightmare Records Internet store.
