About Liz Martin with Michael Bridges - NightMusic
NightMusic, the new EP from Liz Martin and collaborator Michael Bridges, consists of 3 brand new songs (two of which are previewed right here) and two re-interpretations of songs from her previous album, Beneath The Stars.
Featuring Liz on vocals and guitar and Michael on violin and musical saw, they have created a spacious, haunting quality of sound in the tradition of fellow Australians The Dirty Three, Nick Cave and The Triffids.
Liz and Michael have just returned from a successful self-funded tour of France and Germany. They are now unleashing the NightMusic EP on Australian audiences with launches at The Vanguard in Sydney and The Wesley Anne in Melbourne, for what promise to be intimate and breathtaking performances.

In 2006, Sydney’s Liz Martin released her stunning debut album, Beneath the Stars, to much critical acclaim throughout Australia. Recorded over 2 years and entirely self-directed, Beneath the Stars is a unique and beautiful recording, which travels a range of musical styles from electronica to acoustic, pop to blues.
