Nihilism was started in March, 2007 in Toronto,Ontario as a solo project by frontman Nihil which it remains to this day. The message that Nihilism bears upon society is to spread hate and contempt for judeo-christian values and beliefs. Lyrical themes often include Occultism, Demons, Sorcery, Mysticism, Darkness, Blood, Anarchy, Apocalypse and Anti-religious themes. Nihilism fully supports sacreligious acts such as grave desecration, church arsons etc. In late september, 2007 the first demo CDR rehearsal entitled "The Black Mass" was released, limited to a very few copies and only avaliable in the underground. Download link to the demo was provided however for promotion.
All tracks for this rehearsal were recorded on a regular tape recorder due to lack of recording equiptment at the time.
Soon after Nihil decided to recruit new members to be able to perform live rituals.
In January,2008 Master , upon leaving local band King, joined on drums. Two weeks later Valefar (also previously a member of King) joined on bass but left soon after without having a chance to record with the band due to personal and private reasons.
Second Demo entitled "Satanic Anarchy" was released in March, 2008.
Soon after Nihil decided to keep the band a solo project due to musical differences with previous members.
In early april of 2008 Master ultimately left the band due to musical and ideological differences.
Warlock, member of local band Warlock Moon officially joined Nihilism in April 2008 as a new session and live drummer.
