Bio:
Nihilist + Militia = Nihilitia
Nihilitia is a three-piece from Washington, DC that formed in 2006. The band has a hankering for trash heaps, rhinestones, Dio, emergency candy runs, Powers, Jameson, pirate folklore, and "that's what she/ he said" jokes. The self-described "stonerglam" sound is a result of the Nihilitia's venn diagram of influences. It's kind of like classic rock from the future . . . except not really.
Nihilitia has shared the stage with: the Sword, Stinking Lizaveta, Skeletonwitch, Early Man, Red Fang, Year Long Disaster, Hero Destroyed (Relapse), King Giant, Peelander-Z, Olympia, and more.
Album Info
Nihilitia's 7-song album, "Nihilist Militia," is out now on Keya Records. It is available at shows and online through iTunes, Amazon, eMusic, LaLa, and Shockhound. Recorded and Mixed by Joel Hamilton (Unsane, Peeping Tom, Black Keys) at Studio G Brooklyn. Assistant Engineer Marc Alan Goodman. Additional tracking at Strangeweather Brooklyn. Produced by Joel Hamilton and Nihilitia. Mastered by Chad Clark (Fugazi, Dismemberment Plan, Beauty Pill) at Silver Sonya Studios. Album artwork by Derrick Nau of Skeletonwitch / Apocalypse Nau.

Heavy Metal Time Machine
"an impressive hybrid of doom, stoner and noise rock that is highlighted by a rumbling rhythm section and some accomplished riffing."

10 of 166MoreI've seriously listened to "Light Year" hundreds of times and every time I crank it up, it always takes me into the living breathing core of music. It's Alive. It's become one of my favorite songs of all time. It's truth and this band is evidence of it. I love you three and I love your music. It's real and it's kickass. It's rare now to find music that lasts. This will.
