Nacida en La Habana Cuba, obtiene sus primeros estudios musicales en el conservatorio de musica Fernando Carnicer bajo la instruccion vocal de Gladys Puig en La Ciudad de la Habana.
En 1994 se traslada a Houston Texas, en donde continua su educacion musical obteniendo su certificado de tratro musical y el titulo de associado en voz en el Houston Community College.
Apasionada por la musica expande su versatilidad incursionando en Operas Colegiales, y obras de Teatro musical escribiendo y produciendo luego tres revistas musicales de su autoria. Su carissma y creatividad la llevan hacer broadcasting en emisoras radials, Maestra de Ceremonias en Festivales y eventos dentro de la comunidad, como tambien comerciales y una incredible entretenedora en varios scenarios.
Esta cantaurtora cubana no cree en fronteras y es por eso que decide compartir sus experiencias y reflexiones por medio de su estilo unico que mezcla sus raices afro-Cubanas y sus influencias españolas y clasicas.
Niho was born in Havana, Cuba and in since the time of her exile from her homeland in 1994 she has been living in Houston, Texas. She first appeared on the scene as the “face” for many Hispanic media advertising campaigns as a model and spokesperson. In addition, she has also been a supporting voice for several programs on the Hispanic radio station “K-LOVE” working alongside Cesar Augusto for the program “Noches de Fiesta”.
She has written and produced several musicals, among them are: “Havana”, “Language of Love” and “Remembering Broadway”. Niho is a widely known and highly recognized singer in the Houston music scene because of her ongoing presence at the most famous night clubs and festivals in Houston and surrounding areas as well as for her role as a producer of and performer in her own musical theater productions. She has also performed in Miami and México.
Variety and versatility are her most appreciated artistic characteristics, along with her captivating voice and musical talent which are supported by a solid and specialized education. She is a graduate of the famous “Carnice Musical School” in Havana. Presently she has obtained a degree in Performing Arts with a specialization in voice from Houston Community College. As part of her studies, she has performed in several operas at the College of Performing Arts, Houston Community College.
Niho is an versatile and vibrant performer who has the ability to show her musical talent and unique voice in a variety of musical settings, ranging from the most challenging such as opera to the more varied like that of popular music. In person she is captivating and exudes a style all her own! Most recently, Niho has introduced a new musical fusion that she likes to call “Pop, Infused with Afro-Cuban and Spanish Rhythms”.
