That guy who's about a hundred feet ahead of me on the trail. I see him when I round the corner, but he disappears again. How does he do it? It's so steep! I must catch him and find out.

About me: WHO: YOU, Justin & Lev, AND other trail running ethusiasts
WHAT: A nice Saturday morning trail run in the challenging Temescal Canyon parks
WHEN: 8:30am, most SATURDAY mornings (see SCHEDULE below)
***PHASE II of the NikeTop20 is MAY 24th through August 11!
***RUNNING DAYS (7/21, 7/28, 8/4, 8/11)
***REST DAYS / OFF WEEKS (8/18 through the rest of summer)
WHERE:
We meet at the park benches at the entrance of Temescal Gateway Park, which is at the intersection of Temescal Canyon Road and Sunset Blvd. To get there, take PCH to Temescal Canyon Road and head up the hill until it dead ends (at Sunset Boulevard). Park on Temescal Canyon Road or on Sunset Boulevard for free, or head into the park for $5. You can also get to the park by taking Sunset Boulevard from PCH or even the 405.
WHY: Because what better way to start your weekend than with a great and challenging trail run with Justin and Lev.
The trails are steep, but after some punishing hills you'll be rewarded with the most stunning views in Los Angeles. We're talking downtown-to-beach, PV-to-Malibu goodness. Check out the blog for weekly gameplans, or read these classic posts to get the most out of your Temescal experience:
Who I'd like to meet: Runners, walkers, and hikers in the Temescal Canyon area. Doesn't matter how fast you go, just come out and enjoy the scenery and your workout. People in the Palisades, Santa Monica, Malibu, Topanga, West LA ... that means you!

Tomorrow is your LAST CHANCE to join us for a NikeTop20 Westridge/Sullivan TRAIL Run. Fittingly, tomorrow's scheduled run is the Luna Loop (OPAT). We'd love to SEE you, and we have one or two surprises for our grand finale...
Sorry I missed you this weekend. I was in Anaheim (Disneyland) with the fam. Unfortunately I'm going to miss you this weekend too :( as I have to help at Ladera Center for Club Run. Hope you have a great week!
I think this quote ... "Never miss on an opportunity of seeing anything that is beautiful." Ralph Waldo Emerson ... is quite appropriate for the view from the top of the trail, and INSPIRES me to set my alarm clock on a Saturday morning!
