Nikitta is an R&B/Soul singer from Glasgow who came into the public eye in 2006 when she came sixth in the third series of the reality television series X-Factor.
She is currently performing live across the U.K. whilst writing and recording a collection of songs towards her first album, with a view to securing a professional recording contract.
Having been singing since she was 5 years old Nikitta says “performing is my life” so it was natural that she was drawn towards reality TV show X-Factor, it was in 2004 she first headed to audition for the show however fate conspired against her as she was knocked down by a car on her way to the auditions, however in 2006 she did audition for the X-Factor judges and made an instant impact, receiving three positive votes and Simon Cowell commenting "It’s not often someone comes in here and sings straight from the heart”. Nikitta made it through the ‘boot camp’ phase to become one of twelve finalists in the live television stages and admirably performed for five weeks in front of millions before being voted off, finishing a respectable sixth in the competition, from over 1 million entrants. Nikitta subsequently performed on the sell-out X-Factor Arena Tour with her fellow contestants, taking in all the major U.K. cities including London, Birmingham, Manchester and Glasgow, to name a few.
Following the tour Nikitta returned to Glasgow where she signed up to a performance agency to continue her first love of singing to live audiences, she has also found the time to appear in Pantomime, starring for 8 weeks in 2007 as Cinderella in Glasgow’s Pavillion Theatre whilst continuing to develop herself as a professional writing and recording artist.
