Over the past several years, Nikki has been inspired by LeAnn Rimes, Martina McBride, and more recently Carrie Underwood and Taylor Swift. “These country artists motivate me. They keep improving and expanding and they make me work harder. But I don’t think I sound like any of them. I think my voice is different. I want people to recognize my voice as being unique. I can’t wait for the day when a fan hears one of my new songs and says ‘that sounds like Nikki Britt.’”

How many times can one person sing “Unbreak My Heart?” Nikki’s family knows that the answer is unlimited. Nikki grew up with MTV and VH1, spending hours in front of the TV learning the words to her favorite songs. Her vocal coach – the renowned Sal Dupree – had her singing show tunes, but for some reason, they just didn’t click for her. It wasn’t until a family vacation to Nashville and a performance by Dolly Parton at the Grand Old Opry that Nikki realized that she was supposed to sing country music.
Now signed to independent Nashville label, Rustic Records, Inc., Nikki is ready to take the country music world by storm. She recently opened for James Otto during New Jersey’s Summerfest and her debut album released in September. Ready to Ride contains 12 tracks that give the listener a deeper insight into who Nikki is as a person. It looks like Nikki has truly found her home in country music.
