"Like a teenage sleaze, a comic book tease, with your art on your sleeve..." -Billy Idol
"Oh, but it's hard to live by their rules - I never could, and still never do..." -Chrissie Hynde
“I'm like a love child of Marilyn Monroe and Lemmy. Or something like that.” - Nikki Core
Nikki Core used to be a punk, a wreck of careless abandon and drug fueled mayhem. It was all running mascara and donkey punches and snowballing and bad fun. It was, of course, rock n' roll, and no one did it better. Now, Nikki will tell you that she's changed, that she's all dolled up, but don't let the glossy photos fool you, my friends. Don't' let this femme fatale of the sleaze rock scene convince you that she's anything but a riot act in lace panties and manicured nails. Because when the flood lights go off we're in the dark, and strange and beautiful things happen in the dark. Nikki's been dealing in strange and beautiful things since she was old enough break your heart, and now that this ex-KariNations bass player and hellraiser has finally decided to break free and go for our collective throats as a solo artist, we're getting a full dose of sugar and suicide from a girl who thrives and survives in the black pitch of debauchery. Sure, it may be debauchery for the debutante from here on in, but the fact remains that the heart and soul of Nikki Core bleeds punk rock. There's still a snarl in her songs and the trashy plastic of the sing-along sounds is surely driven by sin. You know, there's a fine line between Hollywood and hoe, and Nikki Core tows it better than any of ..em.
