Nikki Rous began her singing career in musical theatre having attended one of Londons most prestigious stage schools. After training for many years as a classical singer she discovered the acoustic guitar. She went about teaching herself to play and gathered inspiration from artists far and wide. She began to write songs with thoughtful and heartfelt melodies. Forward a few years and Nikki has had many acclaimed performances alongside various artists such as Supergrass, Roisin Murphy, Nizlopi, The Enemy, The Wombats,The Cribs, Level 42, Nerina Pallott, Miles Hunt (The Wonderstuff), 3 Daft Monkeys, Scott Mathews, Show of Hands, The Pogues, Tom Robinson, Martin Grech and Paddy Casey to name but a few.
Nikki's Radio/TV appearances include Kerrang Radio, BBC WM Radio, BBC Radio Shropshire, Sky TV, The new grey whistle test and BBC Three. Nikki performs regularly and has played at venues such as Wolverhampton Civic Hall, Wulfrun Hall, The Robin 2, The Glee Club and Tamworth Assembly Rooms. Music festivals nationwide including Sunrise Celebration, Workhouse, Nozstock, Solfest and Beach break live. Countless Theatres, bars & restaurants and also performs at weddings, corporate parties and garden parties.
Cool. Cheers Nikki. We're playing in Bishops castle on the Saturday so probably won't get to see you but come say hello when we've played. Perhaps we could put a gig on together sometime.
We're on about 12ish on Sunday on the main stage. When are you on? we'll try and get over although we might only be there on the sunday because of other gigs.
Pah, festivals...I've had enough of them. Every single one I went to last year it was wet wet wet, mud mud mud. Enough! I prefer warm & dry. Rock on Robin!
