Welcome to my page - I have recently put up part of my new album here - please listen - download and share. You can hear the whole album on my web site www.nikthiessen.co.uk .
Into the Path
Into the Path is my new album - it was inspired by a 10 day retreat in the mountains of Italy alone - with the company of the ants, mice, rats, lizards, flies, chipmonks, birds, trees, wind and sun and the good companionship of the great book - "The Tibetan Book of Living and Dying" by Sogyal Rinpoche.
Needless to say the whole experience was very life changing - I was moved to tears several times whilst reading the book and contemplating it's great teachings.
And so with huge gratitude I have put together this album of songs - some composed in the mountains alone and others on the way home - on reentering the world all the teachings seem to make so much sense.
My hope is that these songs will inspire others, as they inspire me, to continue to practice and make positive changes in our lives for the benefit of all beings.
