"This album has taken three years to write and record. And it means just as much to me as my first album, "Redemption Sky" that I had just finished when I was injured in the tsunami in Thailand.
The three years since then have passed unbelievably fast. I have fought demons of different kinds and now that my health and strength is back I am longing to connect with my audience. Dying to get the message out, hoping to inspire, for you to follow your heart and your dreams, to make this world a better place.
Like all my songs these songs are flown from my heart. Things I need to write, scream, whisper, sing. Things that keep me up at night. How we humans treat each other and this beautiful planet that is our only home. I hope that you can relate to the songs and that they will speak for you too.
Welcome to my heart. I hope you will like it here.
I started my own recordlabel ”Gecko Music” in 2004 to be able to release my music without having to compromise regarding image, music, lyrics.... We had just finished the recordings for my debut album “Redemption Sky” when I went to Thailand, one of my favourite places in the world, with my mum, to relax, dive and snorkel with sharks. I spent Christmas Eve diving with giant mantas. We were on the beach the morning the tsunami came and were badly injured. I was hospitalized for much of the following year so almost all gigs and promotion for the album was cancelled. Recovering has taken more time than I have been willing to accept, but finally I feel strong and vibrant again.
I have my own small studio where I do all pre-productions and then when needed we do additional recordings at different studios in Southern Sweden. I love to write. I live to write. I need to sing. I often find myself writing very late at night, when the world is seemingly at peace...
My songs are often very personal and always about something important to me; I write a lot about the state of the world, the global warming, how we-humans destroy the earth..over consumption, pollution, bad politics... my songs are on the side of the ones who..s voices need to be heard......I write about injustices, war, and also personal traumas like the tsunami, loss of people dear to me, my own mistakes that haunt me at night..things that I guess I need to deal with, and sometimes I write about pure wreckless lovely happiness from being alive...about wonderful people I meet...how beautiful life could be....
The most rewarding thing to me is the connection with my audience...to feel that I..m making a difference.
My wish is to connect with the listener, make somebody feel, think, inspire to a positive change for the environment, for a fellow living being, for someone to relate to something...maybe make a small difference for somebody with my music. YOUR feedback and support means everything...I am so privileged, to be able to live my dream, sing my songs and experience the wonderful feeling of the magic that can be created between a band-music-audience. People-heart-people. If I can light a spark, inspire just one person to follow their heart, speak their mind and live their dream, change the world, ..do good, feel good,..then I have succeeded, my life has been good.
I..m totally in love with my new band, my new found friends – my beautiful band! The guys are truly magnificient musicians, friends and contributors to my music as well as the wellbeing of my soul.
I..m not going to write a whole lot more at the moment. If you want to know more, let me know. Hopefully my music speaks for it self.
Thank you for the friendship and the good music, as well as the beautiful and unusual compositions and the good rythmic, the terrific guitar and piano, and the magnificent vocals.Sound and very well-kept arrangement. Beautiful and long musical journey. Pierrot.
