Welcome to the Nimble Jim Project. My name is Michael Powell and I'm a singer / song writer currently based out of Jacksonville, Florida. I started my little music career playing in Jazz Band in High school. When I dropped out of college, I deejayed at a few after hours rave clubs in Jacksonville, then decided to start writing my own music instead of playing everyone else's.
This site is devoted to all the music that I've written as a solo artist and spans from 1998 to today. Most of it will be electronic in nature, but I might throw in a few acoustic originals. What you will find here are not just completed songs, but also song ideas that I've started and couldn't finish, either because I had writers block, or because another song took precedence.

For the 4th day in a row I've gone to bed before 1 or 2 am (which as you know is early for me) and have woken up for no apparent reason @ 4:30am...but today was different.
As soon as I slipped into consciousness a few minutes ago and realized that it was finally Friday, an intense heat flash of excitement surged through my body and was a very strange, yet invigorating sensation!
