Abigail Breslin
This delightful young lady never fails to amaze,
whether she's competing for a beauty crown or running
from aliens at the tender age of 5. Abby IS Nim and
we can't wait.
Jodie Foster
Who doesn't love Jodie? We've watched her grow
from a precocious child to one of the most
respected actors of our time. There is nothing this
beautiful, wonderfully gifted actress can't do. Playing
Alexandra is going to be like, well, a walk on the beach.
Gerard Butler
What can we say about Gerry? He's more of a chameleon than
Fred. He's the guy we've seen in all those movies but didn't realize it was him. He's tall, dark and heart-stoppingly handsome with a talent to match and it's his time to shine.
Alphonso McAuley
His training for his role as a champion swimmer in the film Pride should have Al good and ready for the beach. He's proven his humor in Fat Albert and his dramatic skills in Pride. We are happy to welcome him.
"A fantasy tale as welcome as a breath of fresh tropical air." (Starred review in Publishers Weekly, USA, Feb 19, 2001)
"Appealingly offbeat tale... Nim, with her unusual associates and just-right mix of self-reliance and vulnerability, makes a character young readers won't soon tire of." (Kirkus Reviews, USA, ..eachers can springboard many geographic or scientific studies off this novel as they read it aloud, but kids can just enjoy the fun." (School Library Journal, USA, Feb 2001)
"Wendy Orr tweaks coincidence to create a refreshing fantasy tale... With ample doses of suspense and comedy and a pleasingly sappy happily-ever-after ending, the tale portrays the improbable so cleverly that readers will want to believe everything about the likable Nim and her idyllic isle." (Los Angeles Times, December 2001)

The movie was awesome because it had awesome actors... they really brought it together, Jodie had to be my fave as the phobic writer!!!However, I am Just realizing that Gerry has now become adored by a whole new generation of Women...Hmmm? Hows that for being well liked???
This is in my top 3 Gerry films. I love it and paid to see it in the theater 10 times! I am so happy that it's finally on DVD! I could have used more (or any, actually) Gerry in the extras! Not the targeted demographic, I realize. But believe me - we're buying them as fast as the kids are! LOL Thank you for getting it out on DVD so quickly!
