Nina Åström is a lover of God, of people and of good music. Her
pop-folk style has been influenced by artists like James Taylor, The
Carpenters, Stevie Wonder, Julie Miller and Jennifer Warnes.
Singer-songwriter, piano/keyboards being her instrument.
1991 Nina recorded her first album "Person 2 Person" and altogether she
has recorded 9 albums, mostly with herself as the musical composer. On the most recent "Landscape of my soul" most of the lyrics are hers, as well.
This is also the first time she has produced her album.
Over ther years her collaborators/colleagues in the studio/stage/friends
include people like Martin Kantola, Gerrit aan't Goor, Buddy and Julie Miller, Phil Keaggy, Luca Genta, Ralph van Manen, Seppo Juntunen, Ilkka Puhakka, Bo Wallenberg, Elly and Rikkert Zuiderveld, Jason Carter and Per-Erik Hallin.
In 2000 Nina represented Finland in the Eurovision song Contest in Stockholm with the song "A Little Bit".
Nina has has worked in around 20 countries, doing concerts, tv- and radio appearances. During the more recent years she has also performed extensively in prisons, particularly in Russia and the Ukraine.
Communication in different forms is what Nina is about. Apart from music, Nina has also given radio talks, contributed in devotional books and tv with acting. To be able to talk about life, Jesus, grace, love etc. is what makes her tick.
