.. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. ......PRESS:.... .... .... .... ..Newsday/Glen Gamboa: "Done in mono...with a clear love of 60's folk and soul..." .... __________________________________________________________________ .. Goodtimes Magazine Cover Story: "There's nobody like you anywhere.".... __________________________________________________________________ ..The Deli Magazine: "Nina Romano makes music the good old fashion way- with heart , soul and in mono! To some this may come across as a gimmick, but her total dedication to folk and rock of years gone by is much more than an act...It is not music written for the press, critics or even for the studio....in short it's music without pretension." .... __________________________________________________________________ .. Sayville.com Arts Gala concert review: "The evening ended on a high note with the experimental folk rock bank Nina Et cetera, fronted by vocal powerhouse Nina Romano of Sayville." .... __________________________________________________________________ ..Jezebel Music Feature Review/ Meghan Roe: "...made in this tradition of hidden-away musical talent. It is a record of a sound that comes from nowhere...This group may have its breakthrough in the near future, so enjoy their underground phase while you can."".... __________________________________________________________________ ..The Long Island Pulse Magazine: "A startling and raw collection of songs that may recall an edgier Victoria Williams during her Dylan & the Band Basement Tapes period. An unusual, yet welcome approach to recording and unadorned, almost primal songs and vocals make this one of the most exciting albums to come out of Long Island in years.".... __________________________________________________________________ ....Bill Nolan of WPKN's Antique Blues Show: "A very unique and unusual sound that is different from what's out there today. If she was recording in the peace love and 60's, she would have probably been a sensation." .... __________________________________________________________________ .... Donna DiBerardino of Sayville Library, Youth Services: "Their music was upbeat, fun, interactive and entertaining for all who attended. A mixed crowd of families, adults and seniors attended and left asking when and where to see them again. Nina and Her Band are suitable for all audience types and sizes and is sure thing for any venue who seeks an act to draw a crowd.".... __________________________________________________________________ .... Jan North of Bayport of Blue Point Library: "The audience certainly appreciated what they heard. Folk rock seems to be big these days! " .... ________________________________________________________________ ......BIOGRAPHY:...... .... “Necessity is the mother of invention”. If you don't like what you see change it, and if you don't like what you hear, create it. In Nina's mind these notions have always been her prime motivation. What you say and how you say it define you as a person, and as a performer. ......Aside from the undeniable rhythm and personal accompaniment Nina creates, there are underlying themes in her work that remain constant. Her desire to make music is reflected in all of the choices and sacrifices she makes in her life to remain a full time musician. .. ..Every aspect of the business is important to her. She orchestrates everything from playing, to booking, to composing, to recording, mastering and collecting and restoring vintage gear. Each carefully selected piece of gear found and fixed is an important piece of the mono tonal puzzle she is so determined to realize and is one step closer to creating the complete picture, capturing the mood, and singing about the things she feels are most important. ......Nina is influenced by the likes of Bob Dylan, The Carter Family, Johnny Cash, Dusty Springfield, The Velvet Underground, Phil Spector, Lee Hazlewood and Nico, as well as a myriad of French philosophers and beat poets such as: Rimbaud, Sartre, Baudelaire, Ferlinghetti, Ginsberg, and Emerson. You may hear these influences or other traces of punk, folk, rock, ambient, experimental, Hindustani classical, or country. Or maybe you don't hear any of that. And that's fine because it's not what you label it, it's what you take from it. So you my friend, can decide. .... __________________________________________________________________ ....Booking.. inquiries please contact us at: booknina(at)yahoo.com.. ............ .. _________________________________________________________________ ......To purchase Nina Et cetera's debut album Many Hands Make Murky Work recorded completely in MONO click below. ..Pay securley with PayPal, I Tunes, or CD Baby... ..Or purchase in person at fine retailers like, Looney Tunes, Just Kids Nostalgia, Other Music, Kim's Video, Soundtracks, Rebel Rebel or Paradiddle Records... .......... .... .... .... .... .. .. .. .. .. .......... .... ...... .... ..

This was a quote from the utube video-"i love listening to john lennons music as much as i love listening to the street truths about what a tosser every fuckin rock star is and will ever be." And I liked your quote too-"so just remember when you open up your trendyBeatles remasteresd box set this Christmas that Phil Spectoe mastered it long before the Beatles even bothered to acknowledge it's existence.
