I'm a visual artist by profession, but have been a musician/singer all my life, too. I have just released a solo project called THE MARFA JINGLES, which is an album of TEN SONGS written for various business, organization and people in the small town of Marfa, Texas. You can check out a few of the songs above. i recorded the songs at the Marfa Recording Company with some fantastic local musicians (David Beebe and Adam Bork) and the songs are in rotation on the Marfa Public Radio station, KTRS, starting in September 2008. CD is available for $17 ($15 plus $2 for postage costs) if you paypal themarfajingles@gmail.com and send an email to the same address with your mailing address. You can also see the "MUSIC" section of my personal website (www.ninakatchadourian.com) for more info on how to get the CD. I am also proud to play with Brooklyn-based band The Wingdale Community Singers. The Wingdales have a myspace page too with lots of info on stuff that's coming up.
hello, I doubt you remember an email I sen't you a while back but it was about me looking at your art in the chicago cultural center and being really impressed. anywho. I just made it into my first gallery and I wanted to let you know that lookin at your web repair pictures really made me feel that my own art could be hung up somewhere nice too. so thanks!
The psychoanalyst situation sounds hair raising. Wish I could be there! We're going to try and make it to MASS MoCA! Haven't been there in a while... Also will try to hit one of the Wingdale movements in June...
Hey, I was recommended your website by a friend. I really like your art work. I am an art student in Ireland. I also like to use maps and personifying inanimate objects (e.g. your family trees). Keep it up!
