Nina Monti was born in Rome; she is a singer and a songwriter; her father is the famous songwriter for Patty Pravo and for many other important italian singers. As child she has got a real gift for the music and she devotes herself to the singing, dancing (Renato Greco) and painting but her first love and her only passion is the music and she learns how to play acoustic guitar. When she grows up, she sings and plays in some of the most famous clubs in Rome (il locale, radio londra, palladium, horus club,etc.) and she performs in important shows with her band or on her own with her acoustic guitar. Nina has also experiences as actress: with the avant-garde director Giuliano Vasilicò and his company she acts in “The love’s fulfilment” by Robert Musil, in “The 120 days of Sodoma” by De Sade and in the “Hamlet” by William Shakespeare; she performs also in many other works based on improvisation, dancing and singing. She performs in different clubs in Rome with famous arrangers and musicians: Fulvio Maras , Beppe D’Onghia, Bruno Mariani, Fabiano Lelli, Marco Bertogna… Nina takes part in many festivals: The Caltanissetta Festival, Valle Giulia Festival in Rome, “Only italian music” Festival, “Rock Emergency” Festival. The Honourable Member Giovanna Melandri invites Nina to the party to celebrate the triumph in the political elections. She performs with other artists on the stage during an important concert for “Legambiente”. She performs during the ouverture of Umberto Bindi concert in Valle Giulia in occasion of “Roman Summer” Festival. She sings and plays in concert with Lucio Dalla and she collaborates with him. She performs during the ouverture of Gigi D’Alessio concert in Tremiti islands. She performs on the stage during “Tim Tour 2002”. She collaborates with the Musician Beppe D’Onghia (Lucio Dalla , Samuele Bersani) in making some of her songs. Nina is the winner of the first on-line Music Contest by My-Tv of which Lucio Dalla is the art director. She is the singer for the Musical “Isimilia” in Tordinona theater in Rome. With Marco Bertogna and Biagio Pagano she records “You” and with this song she manages to be placed among the first eight finalists at the “Sanremo Music Academy 2002-2003”. She sings and performs on Ariston theater stage during the tv-show “Sanremo destination” (TV- RAI2) hosted by Pippo Baudo and Claudio Cecchetto. Nina takes part in “Recanati Award Festival 2005”. In the 2007 she composes the work “Rome 1970” and this will be the theme song for the tv-show “Folkstudio, memories of a famous basement” on TV-RAI2. At the present time Nina has been working in the recording studio on making new works and songs.
