Nina Ott, composer/pianist, has toured and played world wide
with many notable musicians. She is a classically trained pianist and is an accomplished jazz, latin jazz and salsa player. She has played with scott amendola, jeff parker, john herndon (tortoise), john mckenna, ralph peterson, equie castrillo, harvey wirdt, kenwood dennard, mark walker, chris poudrier, jim robitaille, jorge najarro, mark turner, leonard king, gerald cleaver, joe hunt, louis romero and mazacote, carlos deleon and clave logic, grupo chekere, phil grenadier, bertram lehmann, ernesto diaz, jesus andujar, and many more great musicians from around the planet.
She is a former faculty member at Berklee College of Music, where she taught the Thelonious Monk, Mary Lou Williams and Bud Powell ensemble. In 2008, she was awarded
a fellowship in composition from the RI Council for the Arts and has a Nord keyboard endorsement.
Nina was born in Detroit, Michigan.
Chris Lopes, bassist/composer, multi-instrumentalist, is originally from New Bedford MA.
Chris has recorded and toured with Jeff Parker of Tortoise. That trio included Chad Taylor on drums and they released 2 recordings on the Delmark record label.
One of Chris' compositions was featured on the Dlemark 50 th anniversary compilation.
Chris is a very accomplished montuno player and is comfortable in both jazz
and latin music settings.
