When I was 16 I got a Saturday job selling tea and scones to middle class, middle aged women in a posh café in my home town Huddersfield. Every week one of them complained about me. ‘Her shirt is not tucked in’ ‘She leans against the tables’ And although I’m glad to say I was never rude I absolutely was there for one purpose and one purpose only! TO GET MY RAVING MONEY TO GO OUT!!!!
Like millions of other young people I lived for Saturday nights and it was during these years of my life that my bond with House music was forever formed. Although I could talk forever and a day about the ages of House, how it’s progressed, its effect on popular culture and the underground, and my virtual love affairs with DJ’s; I’m just gonna say this……….if you see me out, ill probably be dancing on my own with the girls somewhere up in the place!
No need to screw me or judge, no need to be intimidated……….dance with me, we could make up a dance routine and showcase it at the next rave!! Hahaha! And if your arse aint dancing stay away from me, stay the f**k at home!
