I am basically a Rock singer bringing my rock attitude in the field of Blues...Although many people compare my voice to Janis Joplin, I have been influenced more by people like Bette Middler (cause she's a dancer, actor on stage), Etta James, Koko Taylor....for their attitude and to Joan Baez or Dylan for the lyrics (they are very important to me wether it is a cover or my own songs to perform) Bookings for Poland and CZ : DELTA MANAGEMENT Bookings for Germany, Austria, Benelux, Italy : KULTOPOLIS AGENCY

Hope it sounds like me !!! But people often says my band has the energy of the Silver Bullet Band and call me "the french Bob Seger" !
My show goes from sweetness of acoustics to the strengh of electric guitars, mixing songs more political with hope for humanity !
Her first love was Russian and Classical Dances .
After exploring the world of Opera (where she felt a little restricted as a « Soprano Colorature »),she created a Russian Dances & Songs Company of Ballets along with her today..s companion and also performed Russian & Gypsies songs. From all these years of World Tours, she has kept a powerful vocal technique and a great corporal expression on stage. She settles in the USA and keeps on touring in High schools, Universities, Jails and Veterans Home and finally chooses Texas. Nina goes on tour across the USA where she became one with the landscapes and people she met. She appears in some Charity Concerts for the FARM AID, already concerned by Globalisation... The Tour brings her to New Orleans where she finds a new passion : BLUES.. Finally not so far from the Gypsy songs where you can also express pain, love and joy..Nina understands that very quickly.. she dives into her memory and gets loose with her voice like a Janis Joplin to whom she is often compared... She meets DAN AKROYD, also great Blues lover, who push her to go further on into that music of Soul and Heart.
NINA sings more and more, ..BETTE MIDLER, CHUCK BERRY or ERIC BURDON.. among others ask her to play as a supporting act as they appreciate the true « Rock Energy » and her feeling on stage. NINA learns a lot with those monsters, and feeling ready, she goes back to France to create her own Band.
The MIDNIGHT WOLF BAND was born and composed of musicians corresponding to her : generous, spontaneous and truthful.. her wolves ! !
Like the Silver Bullet Band of Bob Seger, NINA shares and communicates her energy and her last CD « NINA LIVE .. and ALIVE IN PARIS » is the living proof. (distribution by CRISTAL RECORDS & XIII bis) Her new collaboration with Neal Black and Lucky Peterson in her new album « From Huntsville to Jordan » prove that Nina is not tired to travel in the World of Blues and Texas Rock. In this more mature CD Nina express herself on subject such as Executions in Huntsville, mistreatment of our planet or wars...... Nina also run a radio show named : “NINA ON THE ROCKS” where she tells the amazing stories of the first Female Blues singers and she is releasing a NEW CD HELL OF A WOMAN (Ouistiti Music/Cristal/Harmonia Mundi)
Acoustics covers of their most committed songs about Lesbianism, racism and love...She also wrote a book on those women, the book will be release in september together with the cd. Amazing Biographies of those women with pictures from the Library of Congress. (in french for the moment) Nina’s radio show is available in Belgium on radio 66 and in Canada on radio Lenet.blues as well as W3bluesradio in France.
Nina pays a great tribute to those Women of the Blues in an acoustic show with amazing covers where Nina’s voice is talking all the space...amazing lyrics and themes. NINA VAN HORN is a singer definitely watching the world she lives in, she likes also to compose her songs et to tell us stories of simple people met one day in Louisiana or somewhere else... She likes her Blues with moments more Jazz or Rock but always with the same joy to share it with her « wolves » and the public in a very communicative way ! Nina tells you the amazing stories of the FIRST FEMALE BLUES SINGERS of the 20's/30's/40's and she is also preparing A NEW CD an a BOOK with their most committed songs ! Elle s’est penchée sur ces Femmes qui ont fait le Blues en racontant leurs vies dans son émission de radio « Nina On The Rocks » sur W3 Blues Radio.

Ces Femmes étaient des « Journalistes-chanteuses » dont je me revendique, elles décrivaient par petites touches précises la dure société de la Grande Dépression, le ségrégationnisme, l’alcoolisme… Elles n’avaient pas peur d’aborder des sujets aussi tabous que l’homosexualité, le racisme au quotidien et les droits des Femmes. Oui, plus je découvre ces Pionnières du Blues, plus je les aime et plus je les admire ! Elles sont passées par toutes les épreuves, ont sillonné des états aussi miséreux que celui de leur naissance, chanté pour les travailleurs dans les champs de cotons, dans les bouges les plus infâmes comme dans les théâtres les plus prestigieux. Certaines connaîtront une gloire soudaine, durable ou éphémère. Leur Destin sera parfois tranché à la pointe de la reconnaissance et elles s’éteindront brutalement dans une mort inattendue ou révoltante. Mais aux travers de leurs paroles, elles auront su restituer au plus juste une vision sociologique drôle ou pathétique de leur époque ! Lisez leur histoire et vous ne les entendrez plus jamais de la même manière…….. Sisters, Sisters! Be Blessed !
