Hailing from Melbourne, Ninetynine combine indie guitar rock stylings with tuned percussion and layerings of casio keyboard to create a unique kind of pop music. Ninetynine began as a solo project for Laura MacFarlane (ex Sleater Kinney and Sea Haggs) in 1996 and has evolved into a band featuring Cameron Potts (Baseball and ex Sandro), Meg Butler (Tarantula) and occasionally Iain McIntyre (Les Hatchets). Ninetynine have released several recordings in Australian and overseas. Ninetynine have toured extensively nationally and internationally for the last 12 years, as well as playing their favorate local haunts like The Tote and The Old bar. The band will be embarking on a national tour in November 08 with Land What Land (US) and will be releasing a new album next year featuring tracks from their recording at Harmony Park (Motown).
