91 Pieces formed in early 2006 when two brothers(James on Guitar/vocals and Burkey on Bass) decided to learn instruments and start a band. They got close friend Jak in on drums and began writing and rehearshing songs. They entered their local Battle of the bands, one in sandy and another ran by bedford metal(heat four). They won best new band and carried that momentum in to a busy gigging schedule. The Pieces got the offer to play Dannys Bar(level one of Bedford Esquires) with local band Circlemaster and having impressed a local promotor had the offer to play upstairs (Bedford Esquires Level two) for Local Fav's Last Man Standing's last ever show. This show on the 12th Jan '07 sold out (and oversold) the 250+ venue. The boys followed this up with supporting touring bands Pickled Dick and Random Hand in Feb and before returning to a packed Esquires crowd in March. April saw the bands return to Bedford Metal's venue for a Easter Festival along side German ska band The Greedy Bee's and Uk Skacore act WEiGHTLOSS. These proformance lead to the band being approched to play Bed-rock Festival along side Belisha, Lights Action!, The BiG and even a acoustic set by 91 Pieces very own James Burke. This is not the only festival James, Burkey and Jak got asked to play in the summer of 2007, they also played at Wookiefest(melchbourne) and Cravenfest '07 where they shared the stage with the likes of Wolf Law,Dun2Def,Henry and the Bleeders, Sonic Boom Six, Random Hand(again),Guerilla Poubelle and many more.
