About me: Once upon a time I use to be in band from Northern Ireland. We went chasing after the bright lights of ye olde London town, and all fell out after living in each others pockets for nearly 12 months.
But whilst there, I met an individual called Mr T. Perry from the Windmill pub in Brixton, who not only booked the bands/acts for the Windmill, but once grew up in Northern Ireland, in a cultural backwater called Dungannon.
We struck upon an idea, one evening in October 2004 to attempt to raise the profile of some of the great new bands in Northern Ireland, by having a great big fookin showcase in London and at the Windmill.
From this the name, Northern Ireland:Next Generation came about and we were quite chuffed by this. Next on the plan was to attempt to get 12 bands over to London for St Patrick's weekend (March 2005). This was done and with great success. We then went for it again in October 2005 with 14 bands and once again we surprised ourselves with various media outlets in both Northern ireland and London based, and record labels attending.
The next NI:NG festival is for the weekend of the 28th/30th April 2006 and we plan to bring over 14 of the best Northern Irish bands around at present. Bands who are more than ready to take on their counterparts all over these 2 islands.
Have a nice day.

Who I'd like to meet: Since I've already met Eric Cantona and Norman Whiteside. Gregg Dulli would complete this Holy Trinity. So Mr Dulli it is then.

***OFFICIAL VIBE PRESS RELEASE***
re. VIBE no longer at Milk
It appears that Milk are trying to hijack the VIBE brand by postering & flyering with a brand they are calling "live VIBEs" (the "live" & "s" are so small you can hardly see them on the posters!).
They have even tried to further reinforce that Carley & Tina are part of this promotion by putting "C&T promotions" on the flyer!
Milk are attempting to get party-goers into the club by deceiving and misleading them....please let everyone know that VIBE are nothing to do with Milk & this "new" Sunday promotion is a poor attempt to ride off someone else’s hard work. This promotion is motivated purely by jealousy and financial gain, unlike VIBE, which is always promoted from a burning desire to give people a great night out.
VIBE IS NO LONGER AT MILK & WILL HAVE NO ASSOCIATION WITH ANY ACTIVITIES AT THIS VENUE.
Future VIBE parties will be taking place at Club Mynt on Saturday nights; watch this space for some extra-special shenanigans!
