HOW TO BE A MEDICAL TEST SUBJECT

A little film I did for the "Howcast.com" website.

HOW TO MAKE A GREAT AUDITION FOR A REALITY SHOW

    A particularly funny Howcast vid.

HOW TO EDGE YOUR LAWN LIKE A PRO

HOW TO MOW YOUR LAWN LIKE A PRO ..

This is the trailer for the "series pilot" project I was involved with over the summer. It's called "Hazy Hot and Humid". The full pilot should be available soon. So let's look at the trailer, shall we?

In August of 2007, I performed the National Anthem at Campbell's Field for the Camden Riversharks baseball team. Only ONE of my friends was able to attend (NONE of my family was there, I might add), so he - and the other 71 people in the stands got to enjoy the following...

Here's an Industrial Short I did about 15 years ago. Notice how the slim handsome guy has become the pudgy, grotesque bald dude you all know today. God, I hate gettin' old...

Who I'd like to meet:

I'm a guy who likes to make people laugh and to entertain. I recently freed myself from the hoary yoke of bondage known as "retail sales" where I was enslaved (on and off) for about 20 years.

I am now (get this) a "professional actor", which means that I'm usually unemployed ;) but have actually been relatively steadily employed doing my chosen profession for the past year or so.

I've done extra work in Television and Movies, been in several commercials (locally) was a writer/producer/director/performer as part of a sketch comedy troupe from the Philadelphia area, and have been in three different shows which have played at the Casinos in Atlantic City.

I'm still pluggin' away, livin' the dream. For a laugh you can check out my "actors profile" at www.talenthub.net/DavidGold and see some of my work. Of course, most of it is listed here anyhow.

If you want to know anything about me, go ahead and ask. I've got nothing to hide.

Well, some things I'll hide, but after a few drinks, all bets are off...

Ermm. Last night I was on fire.

    Today no so much.

I'm kind of blaaah right now. Went to a memorial service today for a guy I knew - a friend my husband grew up with. Died in Portland, Oregon of a heart attack. Alex was 37.

The thing that was the most sobering was that it was Old Home Day today at the service and then at the reception afterwards. I saw friends I haven't seen for well over 10 years and we all were so sad that Alex was gone and bummed about the fact that the only thing to bring us all together was a death.

    Blaaaaa.. :(

    (First half below this post..)

They're going to pull the SAME bait-and-swith line the did with the State of Massachusetts' by threatening astronomical costs unless they can get EVERYONE into the pools - and JUST like in Massachusetts, once everyone is a captive customer legally obligated to support the insurance company stakeholders' retirements they'll give themselves BIG raises and raise the premiums!

The FIRST thing that happened when the Mass mandates went into effect was a 10 percent cost hike for insurance.

F*ck you Mr. And Mrs. Middle-Class America. Our concerns demand their due.

It's not pretty at all. I'm rather grim right now and am firing up the pen and will be writing with as much passion against this thing as I can muster.

I've got a few good SOLID posts up here and there. so I'm really working on laying this out cleanly and making a solid case against it. Mandated insurance coverage for the poor quality care (55% on average for ALL Americans, insured or otherwise) that is being paid for is SO wrong, I can't even begin to tell you.

    Other than that. I'm fine.

    Oh nothing much.

I'm on fire with this mandated health insurance plan - it has my hackles RIGHT on end. Long story short is that I got burned (literally) some years ago dealing with an MD who was playing doctor by her insurer's rules and she did JUST what she was required to and NOT what I needed and I was really left messed up because of it. I haven't seen a doctor in 6 years now, and am not likely to again for a long time, but I'll choose going broke before I pay for something I'll never use. You can only imagine how this makes me angry - esp. as I voted Democrat because Obama stated mandates weren't on the agenda!

The quality of medical care is too poor for what people pay for it, and in study after study it's the insurance concerns that have put those numbers there!

The government has been SO blind-sided by getting everyone 'covered' (as if seeing an MD who's only got a 55% chance of giving you the care you need, is worth having access to in the first place!), they're missing the underlying root of the problem!

Cost goes up when people get shitty care and need to be on a rotating door schedule to the doctor's 'cause they can't get what they need the first time!

Dave, the problems are SO fundamental and it's the insurers who have been setting the tone, nature and scope of medical care for well over 40 years, and this healthcare fiasco we have now is a damning indicator of how well they've managed with the responsibility.

They can't do it until they get their houses in order, the insurance industry is too fragmented, and there are too many people making too much money off of this broken system.

    more..

One of my favorite shows. Thankfully, it comes on right after another one on Sundays. I got back to back two great shows, and a friend in one of them. My sunday's just got a whole lot better.
